So, how's life?

The status is, as they say on the streets, quo. At least these days.
I've been in a rut, art-wise, however. No inspiration lately. Which sucks, because I love writing, but these days I just have.. no ideas.. nothing. I feel like I'm stuck in neutral.

Not that life is neutral or bad at all these days, it's actually going pretty well. I'm finishing up my second semester at community college in about two weeks, and next semester I'll be focusing on art, so I can put together a portfolio, and hopefully transfer to the Schaumburg Art Institute to start getting a path made in some forward-direction. Work is okay, but I might start applying other places, because Menards kind of just generally sucks. It pays well, but.. after a while it stops being worth the hassle, the stress, and dealing with.. y'know.. people. My best friend Alex tells me that she might be able to get me a job at Pier One, where she works and apparently has a fun-filled time. So.. maybe.

Relationship-wise, life is steady and smooth-going. I've been with my boyfriend Ty for a little over four months, and we're very happy. We might be going to kentucky for a week or so in July, visiting the family he has down there. Hopefully they'll like me more than his immediate family does. His mother HATES me. H-A-T-E-S me. Which is awkward and rough, but I'm getting through it. My parents, on the other hand, love Ty. He calls them "Mom" and "Dad" already. So, that's alright.

I'm also singing in a Rock/Blues band. We're not THAT bad, but we're obviously just starting out, so we have a lot to accomplish.

Mostly these days I'm just waiting for the semester to end.
Then I'll finally be able to breathe in deeply again.
Ahhh.
